| Built in 1939, the stylish brick façade building was originally a residential apartment owned by famed silent film star Lillian Gish. Maison 140's classic exterior, complete with dormers, potted topiaries and signature red-lacquered doors, serves as a warm welcome from the busy city just around the corner. |

| Each of the 43 guestrooms at Maison 140 is a unique creation unto itself. Interior designer Kelly Wearstler creates a powerful blend of texture, color and pattern for each individual guest space. Classic elements mix with Chinoiserie, 1920s styling and 1970s modernism to create a feel reminiscent of a Left Bank Parisian inn. One-of-a-kind antiques, custom furniture and fabrics are accented by Italian linens and bathrobes in each room. Thick, rich mohair throws are laid over occasional Louis XVI chairs for the regal feeling of lounging in a cozy home. Original artwork by Joshua Elias was commissioned for each room. |

With its palette of black, white and crimson, Bar Noir is a stylish meeting spot for hotel guests and Beverly Hills locals alike. The intimate bar-lounge is appointed with custom-designed elements and Parisian antiques. Furnishings include chic slipper chairs, turn-of-the-century salon chairs, lacquered wall panels of antique-mirrored Chinoiserie and caning, French crystal chandeliers and Lucite barstools.
Bar Noir's signature drinks include the French Kiss, a flavorful concoction of Champagne and Courvoisier; the Lady Godiva, with vodka, Godiva white chocolate liqueur and white Crème de Cacao; and exotic Sake cocktails such as Sake-Melon, with Asian Pear Sake, Mindori and Orange Juice.
Bar Noir hosts weekly Vin et Fromage wine and cheese tastings featuring international cheeses paired with distinctive offerings from the world's finest wine regions. Bar Noir is also available for private parties.
